WhatsApp CRM integration: how to connect the official WhatsApp API to Kommo
Two ways to get the official WhatsApp API into Kommo — the native WhatsApp Business integration and AnyLinga —, the steps for each, and when it makes sense to use both.
Two ways to get the official WhatsApp API into Kommo — the native WhatsApp Business integration and AnyLinga —, the steps for each, and when it makes sense to use both.
Key takeaways
Yes. Kommo’s “WhatsApp Business” integration connects directly to Meta’s Cloud API. It is available on every plan (including the 14-day trial), and Kommo charges no fee for it — you only pay Meta for messages. Third-party integrations such as AnyLinga also connect official API numbers to Kommo.
Kommo’s older WhatsApp Business API integration, which ran through another provider, lost support on October 1, 2024. Twilio and Gupshup are no longer available in the Kommo Marketplace either. Today the official API reaches Kommo through the native integration or through third-party integrations.
If you don’t have a WABA yet, follow the WABA setup guide.
According to Kommo’s help center:
Message templates must be approved by Meta, and only admins can create them in Kommo. Authentication templates are not available in the native integration.
Details in the knowledge base.
| WhatsApp Business (Kommo native) | AnyLinga | |
|---|---|---|
| Official Meta API | Yes | Yes |
| Integration price | No Kommo fee | $21 per channel per month |
| Messages | Charged by Meta | Charged by Meta |
| Coexistence (app + Kommo) | Yes | Not yet |
| WhatsApp via QR code | No (the old WhatsApp Lite no longer appears on Kommo’s current pages) | Yes, with groups |
| Also included in the AnyLinga plan | Telegram (bot and personal account), Instagram, Facebook; lead routing per channel (fixed agent or rotation, pipeline and stage); scheduled messages, cancelled automatically if the customer replies first; optional automatic translation | |
How to choose: if you only need the official API on one number and your plan’s limit is enough, the native integration does the job at no extra cost. AnyLinga makes sense when your team also works through regular WhatsApp with groups or through Telegram, needs lead rotation per channel, wants to schedule messages, or talks to customers in other languages — all with the same rules, in one place.
Since June 1, 2026, according to Kommo:
| Kommo plan | WhatsApp numbers |
|---|---|
| Base | 1 number per user |
| Advanced | 3 numbers, +1 per additional user |
| Pro | Unlimited |
| Enterprise | Unlimited |
Kommo says these limits apply to the WhatsApp Business and WhatsApp Lite integrations, and that numbers above the limit are disabled if the limit is not increased within 24 hours. On Meta’s side, an unverified portfolio starts with up to 2 registered numbers. More in multiple WhatsApp numbers in Kommo.
Meta charges per delivered template message. The rate depends on the template category and on the recipient’s country, not yours. A few markets (USD per message):
| Recipient market | Marketing | Utility | Authentication | Service, from Oct 1, 2026 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| North America (US/CA) | $0.0250 | $0.0034 | $0.0034 | $0.0034 |
| Mexico | $0.0305 → $0.0397 from Oct 1, 2026 | $0.0085 | $0.0085 | $0.0085 |
| Spain | $0.0707 | $0.0200 | $0.0200 | $0.0200 |
Rates for every country are in Meta’s pricing page.
With the native integration, Kommo offers coexistence mode: the same number works in the WhatsApp Business app and in Kommo, with messages synced in both. What Kommo says:
In AnyLinga, the official API channel currently needs a number outside the app. To handle WhatsApp groups in Kommo, use AnyLinga’s QR-code WhatsApp channel — see WhatsApp groups in Kommo.
