Telegram CRM in Kommo: how to connect a bot, a personal account and groups

Kommo’s native Telegram integration

Kommo has its own Telegram integration, available on every plan. According to Kommo’s help center:

• you create a bot in Telegram, copy its token and paste it into Kommo;
• only a bot can be integrated, not a personal account;
• you can connect one Telegram chat per pipeline (different bots can go to different pipelines);
• when someone messages the bot, the lead shows up in the pipeline’s Incoming Leads stage.

Kommo’s documentation does not mention Telegram groups.

Telegram bot in Kommo with AnyLinga

1. In Telegram, open @BotFather, send /newbot and follow the instructions. You get the bot token.
2. In AnyLinga, on the Integrations page, click Connect in the Telegram section and paste the token.
3. The status changes to “Connected” and the bot becomes a channel in Kommo.
4. Choose the pipeline, stage and how new leads are assigned (fixed agent or rotation).

You can connect several bots at once, each as a separate channel. Important: on Telegram, the customer has to message the bot first — the bot cannot start the conversation. Details in the knowledge base.

Personal Telegram account in Kommo

Sometimes customers don’t write to a bot but to a person: the salesperson, the account manager. AnyLinga connects an agent’s personal account through Telegram Business, and the conversations arrive in Kommo.

1. In AnyLinga, on the Channels page, under “Telegram personal account”, click Connect. You get a link.
2. Send the link to the account owner. They open it in Telegram on their phone; a personal assistant bot is created for them.
3. In Telegram: Settings → Telegram Business → Chatbots, then pick that bot.
4. The status changes to “Connected”.

Requirements and limits:

• the account owner needs Telegram Premium (Telegram Business is part of it);
• groups don’t work on a personal account;
• reactions in business chats don’t work yet — that is a Telegram Bot API limit;
• new conversations can be rotated between agents with the “Route to” button.

Telegram groups in Kommo
